Dr. Rebecca Cervenec earned her bachelor’s degree in animal sciences from The Ohio State University and then attended graduate school at the University of Arizona. While at the University of Arizona, she studied muscle biology and obtained her master’s degree in animal sciences. She earned a degree in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University in 2011 and completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at the University of Minnesota. After her internship, she completed a residency in cardiology at the University of Minnesota. She became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Cardiology in 2015. Dr. Cervenec has an interest in the medical management of congestive heart failure. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and exploring the Houston food scene. She is also an avid Buckeyes fan and has the self-proclaimed best dog in the world, a miniature Golden retriever named Shelby.
